Submitting Orders

We are flexible on how customers wish to submit orders but to keep processing and turnaround times to a minimum please try and follow these guidelines when submitting orders:

1. Prepare Your Artwork Using The Correct Templates

artwork specification

Artwork should be supplied on a CD and a printed content proof supplied if possible.
Please supply artwork as PDF and always in CMYK colour.
Supplying artwork in RGB colour will lead to additional reprographics charges for colour conversion.

2. Prepare Your Master

Supply a single source production ready CD or DVD master.
Use the highest quality discs available for masters.
Do Not use RW rewritable discs.

Burn your master at a low speed.
Check that your master plays or functions correctly, copies will behave exactly as your master.
Take care not to scratch or mark the underside of the disc.

For further advice on CD audio masters see

3. Submit Your Order

So that we can process your order as quickly as possible please provide a purchase order
OR print a Testa-Rossa Customer Order Form and complete in pen

For fastest turnaround your order should ideally consist of:
Master Disc,
Artwork Disc,
Printed Content Proof,
Order Form OR Purchase Order,
Printed copy of any email quote received from Testa-Rossa. (not essential)

Please post orders to:
Testa-Rossa Duplication & Replication

What Happens Next?

Once we have received your order our we will check suitability of your artwork.
If your artwork is not to required specification we will advise of required amendments.
Once we have suitable artwork we will forward a set of proofs and a pro forma invoice.
You can chose to receive email PDF proofs or hard copy printed proofs.

Email PDF Content Proofs are the fastest way to approve your artwork but approval is given on the understanding that there may be slight colour variance between how your artwork is displayed on a RGB computer monitor and the final CMYK printed matter. Approval of PDF’s must be made by email, we cannot accept verbal approval by telephone.

Hard Copy Laser Printed Content Proofs are available at £5 per A4 sheet and will delay start of production by around 4 working days due to post. Laser proofs can give a better indication of how colours and content will be reproduced but are still not colour accurate. All hard copy laser content proofs must be signed and returned by post.

Colour Accurate Hard Copy Sherpa Proofs are available for hyper critical colour proofing. We can request colour accurate proofs from our printers at a cost of £30 per A4 sheet. Sherpa proofing will add at least 6 working days to turnaround times. Again, Sherpa proofs must be signed and posted back to us before printing can proceed.

Please indicate choice of proofs on your order.
Once we have received approval we can then process payment and proceed to production. For certain orders we may also need customers to complete a Testa-Rossa copyright form before we proceed with production.

Submitting Production Parts Electronically

For the majority of orders Royal Mail Special Delivery or Next Day Courier is the still the fastest and most cost effective way way to submit orders. However in certain circumstances we can accept production parts electronically as follows:

Electronic Submission Of Artwork:

We can accept artwork submitted to our secure “you send it” drop box. Please email us for our dropbox link details. Please do not use other file transfer company links as they will probably be blocked by our firewalls.

Electronic Submission Of Masters:

We can accept DDP filesets to our mastering ftp site uploaded by a reputable mastering company. We can also accept masters submitted as a production ready image file. Acceptable image files are Nero .nrg and Disc Juggler .cdi
Image files and DDP filesets must be uploaded to our FTP site, please contact us for log on details.
We can only accept master images from customers who have the ability to provide a checksum of the image file or can verify a MD5 checksum of the master created by Testa-Rossa.
MD5 checksum verification is essential for any electronically transfered master content.

There is a charge of £20 for Testa-Rossa to download and burn a production CD master from a FTP transferred image file.

There is a charge of £30 for Testa-Rossa to burn a production DVD master from a FTP transferred image file.

There are no additional charges for submission of DDP filesets if the fileset can be used directly to produce the glass master.

Please do not email us links to file downloads. Due to security issues our mastering and repro departments are not able to accept links to downloads.
