CD Replication All Inclusive Offers

CD replication is slightly different to the duplication process and it allows for much larger orders to be placed. With CD replication a glass master and stamper is created and all the CD copies are factory pressed. Audio CD's, CD ROM, CD extra and CD enhanced can all be manufactured using replication. CD Replication is suitable for all orders of 500+ discs. CD Duplication or Replication can be used for CD album manufacture, CD ROM, CD extra & enhanced CD. Replication involves the laser cutting of a glass master which is then used to form metal stampers using an electrolysis process. The metal stampers are then used to press the disc on our production lines using a form of plastic injection molding. This manufacturing process is how all mass produced retail audio CDs and DVD videos are made. All prices and deals on this page are based on 1000 units and include red book PMCD pre-master if required, glass mastering, disc replication, on body print and UK delivery. Prices assume customer supplied print ready artwork to correct specifications. If you require smaller quantities of up to 500 units please see CD Duplication. All replication orders are subject to +/- 10% overs/unders manufacturing tolerance. Overs are available at unit cost price and unders are credited at applicable unit price .

Cost Saving Design Tip
Keep CD on-body designs simple, most retail CDs use 2 or 3 colour pantone designs to keep costs to a minimum. Less on body colours=lower print costs. If you have photo images and high resolution graphics then use them in your booklet designs as all our paper parts are printed offset litho full colour photo quality as standard.

CD On Body Print Options For Replication

For CD replication there are several on body print options, the most common are listed below together with general guidelines for suitability. All print options give a very high quality, durable finish as found on all retail CDs. If you are unsure of the best print method for your design please contact us or email a copy of your on body design.

2 Colour CD Screenprint 2 pantone colours or white base + 1 colour	5 Colour CD Screenprint 5 pantone colours or white base + CMYK	5 Colour Litho CD Print white base + CMYK process
2 colour screenprint is a cost effective solution that gives a fantastic gloss finish. The majority of retail CDs use spot colour screenprint due to high quality durable finish and low print costs. Designs are critical, spot colours should be used and correctly defined in your file using the Pantone solid coated library.	As with 2 colour, 5 colour screenprint produces a high quality finish suitable for all graphic designs using up to 5 pantone colours. White base + CMYK full colour process is also possible. Photo images can also be printed using full colour screenprint although offset litho usually yields slightly better detail print results.	Offset litho print is the most suitable option if you require very high quality, high resolution print including photo quality images, or extremely high detail graphics, gradients and backgrounds. Litho is very popular for DVD. Large areas of solid colour are not produced as well as using spot colour screenprint.
